About this NYT Connections solver
NYT Connections gives you 16 words and asks you to sort them into four groups of four. The yellow group is usually straightforward, green is a little trickier, blue is hard, and purple almost always hides some wordplay. This solver takes today's 16 words and searches every possible way to split them into four groups, scoring each split with a built-in word-association model.
Do I need an account or API key?
No. Grouping runs entirely in your browser using a local word-association and wordplay model, so it works offline and nothing you paste is uploaded.
How do hints work?
With hints only turned on you see each suggested category theme but not the words in it — enough of a nudge to finish the puzzle yourself.
Are the suggestions always right?
Not always — Connections is deliberately deceptive. Treat the yellow and green suggestions as strong leads and use them to narrow down the harder groups.
